Do you sometimes feel unheard, misunderstood, overwhelmed? Do you ruminate about the past, struggle with low mood and anxiety and feel like your wants and needs aren't being met? Do you want to enjoy life more? Do you want to improve your relationships and your self-esteem? Counselling can help you!
Low mood, anxiety, and low self-esteem can accumulate from daily stress or stem from past trauma and our upbringing. Stress can also be work-related or arise from family issues and interpersonal relationships. Often, when we face unprocessed difficult situations, our mental health takes a blow. Then we might end up feeling sad, overwhelmed, confused, and lonely. And sometimes these can present 'without apparent reason', making us feel even worse. You're not alone; it can make sense.
Let’s talk about it! It helps immensely to have a safe and confidential space where our concerns are heard and explored in a warm and non-judgmental way. In my practice, I strive to create such a space where insight, new perspectives, and growth, can be cultivated.
I work pluralistically, in an integrative way. This means that I derive tools from the three main approaches to psychotherapy (CBT, Person-centred, Psychodynamic) and tailor them to each client's unique needs. It also means that I work collaboratively with my clients, based on their preferences. In my practice, I offer tools and methods to make sense of triggers, patterns and beliefs that hold us back; as well as psychoeducation and ways to manage difficult emotions.
Working with me, you’ll have a safe space to bring in your concerns. We’ll work together to clarify your needs and goals. These can be: coping with a challenging situation, becoming more assertive, gaining self-understanding and emotional education, managing stress, improving your self-esteem or enriching your communication skills. I’ll walk alongside you and gently guide your way towards your goals.
My practice is research-informed as I regularly update my knowledge with the latest studies in the field. Also, on a monthly basis, I undertake clinical supervision where a more experienced counsellor monitors and inspires my work to assist me in offering a high-quality and ethical service.
Speaking of commitment, I must tell you that undertaking counselling and psychotherapy takes commitment. Sometimes it can be challenging but it will offer the most precious rewards!

It can be daunting making the decision to contact a counsellor and choosing 'a good one'. In my experience, we tend to struggle with our mental health, a personal crisis, or problems with a relationship for much longer than necessary due to being hesitant taking that first step. Being hesitant is understandable, but I hope to encourage you by telling you that you don't have to struggle alone. Being here, looking for a counsellor, means you have already taken the first step towards improving your wellbeing.
If you have any questions about online counselling or to arrange an initial appointment without further obligation, please feel free to contact me.
An initial appointment will allow us to discuss what brings you to therapy and whether I am the right therapist for you.
I aim to reply within 24 hours. In the meantime, please feel free to visit my FAQs section.
